Offshore power
Manufactures medium, high and extra-high voltage submarine cables with alternating current (AC) , three-core or single-core, as well as direct current (DC) cables, with cross linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation, which are used in the offshore market. All submarine cable designs can be manufactured in very long continuous lengths, minimizing the need of factory joints and thus the risk of failures.
Standard submarine cable designs include integrated fiber-optic elements. We offer Light Weight (LW), Single Armoured (SA) and Double Armoured (DA) designs that include an optical core made of sealed stainless set tube containing up to 48 single-mode optical fibers.
DTS (Distributed temperature sensing) systems and DCR (Dynamic Cable Rating) systems can be also provided.
Onshore transmission
Hellenic Cables manufactures high voltage cables since 1970. More specifically, from 1970 to 1996 the Group was manufacturing paper insulated high voltage cables. From 1996 onwards, the group manufactures high voltage cables with cross linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation. In 2008 Hellenic Cables acquired the capacity to manufacture extra-high voltage cables with cross linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation with nominal voltage up to 500kV.
The constant investments for the manufacture of high and extra-high voltage AC and DC cables, testing facilities, education and training of the technical staff are a testament that Hellenic Cables consistently delivers reliable cutting-edge products.

Power distribution
Hellenic Cables produces a wide range of low-voltage and medium-voltage cables for power distribution according to various national and/or international standards, as well as according to the demands and specifications set by the client.
Low Voltage power cables are constructed with rigid, solid or stranded copper and aluminum conductors, and flexible (bare or tin-plated) copper conductors.
XLPE, PVC, LSF/LSOH and elastomer compounds are the main insulating and shielding compounds for these cable types.
Medium-voltage cables are constructed with copper or aluminum conductors and insulation from XLPE, EPR, or paper.
Cables for special applications, halogen-free, fire-retardant, fire-resistant and with low smoke emissions can also be provided.
